Tech Specs
Tech Specs are the basis of a Transformer's abilities, measuring their broad prowess in physical, mental, and all other activities. They are rated on a scale of 1 to 10. All dice rolls are based on a Tech Spec, with half the Tech Spec rating (rounded down) acting as a positive Modifier on associated rolls.

Each Tech Spec influences a different aspect of a character. The following are the eight different Tech Specs a Transformer has:
Strength

Strength is used for the following:
- Starting Equipment total
- Melee Damage Bonus
- Throwing Range
- Some Program rolls
- Part of your Root Size
Intelligence
Intelligence is the measure of a character's mental prowess and processing power. It covers everything from observation to intuition, as well as any other mental process.
Intelligence is used for the following:
- Program Slot Bonus per Function Level
- Many Program rolls, including rolls to observe, think, organize, plan, deduce, induce, and the like

Speed is used for the following:
- Defense bonus

Courage

Firepower
Firepower is the measure of how well-armed a character is.
Firepower is used for the following:
Skill
Skill is the measure of a character's dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and general capability to perform actions.
Skill is used for the following:
- Attack roll bonus
- Many Program rolls, including rolls to build, repair, perform fine manipulation, and otherwise do things.
Sometimes a character tries to do something to which no specific skill really applies. In these cases, you make a Tech Spec Check. Tech Spec Check is a roll of 1d20 plus the appropriate Tech Spec Modifier. The GM assigns a DC, or sets up an opposed Check when two characters are engaged in a contest using one Tech Spec score or another.
In some cases, an action is a straight test of one's ability with no luck involved. Just as you wouldn't make a height Check to see who is taller, you don't make a Strength Check to see who is stronger. When two characters arm wrestle, for example, the stronger character simply wins. In the case of identical scores, roll a die.
